The Vicksburg Warren School District is filled with academic excellence. The district offers plenty of hands-on and experimental learning opportunities to all students. Especially with STEM. The district offers many programs and even though they may have a lot of problems going on behind the scenes that the students don't see, they still put us first for a better future ahead of us. Since I'm an athlete I pay a lot of attention to how they treat other athletes outside of my sport and show sportsmanship. I've seen much improvement and hope that this great behavior toward the upcoming generation continues or becomes better. The relationships we build within the community build a wonderful institution that's personal, educational, and structural which I enjoy.

I have been in the Vicksburg Warren School District from k-12 and I feel I have a good understanding of what it’s like to be in this school district. VWSD had both its pros and cons, but I feel that it could have been better. During my last year of high school, we struggled with finding places for all of us to stay during school hours. Some sports were prioritized over others, for example when we were told we would have a gym for our last season of volleyball the completion date kept being pushed back and then we didn’t get to play until the very last match of the season. I feel that VWSD as a whole has some work to do and I hope that things get better for the next generation of students.

My experience at this school district or "Vicksburg High" to be specific, was almost average. In my time of going here we had broken windows, broken mirrors, stalls had no doors, teachers giving busy work/not teaching, the food was horrible and the water fountains were undrinkable. Vicksburg High was definitely in a bad condition and I was definitely underprepared coming to college. Don't get me wrong there were a few teachers that actually cared, and there were a few things I learned there that was worth knowing, however
I feel that my time here could have been put to better use at another school. Although I have some animosity towards this school because of this, I would not trade the experience for anything because these conditions played a part of making me who I am today.
